Accommodation & Travel
Accommodation should be booked independently by each participant. In Szarvas, there are many possibilities, but as in September the town is still a favoured tourist destination, it is recommended to make the booking as soon as possible because the availability of accommodation might be limited.
To make the booking process easier - especially for conference participants from abroad - we arranged pre-booking at two hostels that offer a large number of cheap, simple but decent accommodation options. Those who would like to book a room in these hostels, please indicate in the registration form:
- your request
- which type of room you prefer (1-, 2- or 3 beds) and
- who would you like to share the room with.
For these two hostels, the conference organizers arrange the booking with the hostels, but participants pay the accommodation fees directly to the hostel. Please note that these hostels are located 30 min. easy walk distance from the Venue, in the vicinity of the city centre.

The hostel is available for 34 persons, in 2 rooms for 1 person, 10 rooms for 2 persons and 4 rooms for 3 persons. Parking lots are available free of charge.

Körösök Völgye Panzió
The guesthouse can host 28 persons in rooms for 2 (8 rooms) and 4 persons (3 rooms). Parking availability in the private parking area in front of the guesthouse.

Travelling to Szarvas
There are many possibilities to travel from Budapest to Szarvas.

From Budapest Airport, you can get to Budapest Népliget Autobus Station with the Autobus 100E/200E+Metro line 3M or by taxi. Tickets for the bus and metro can be purchased at the airport. You can look for timetables and plan your journey in Budapest online at https://bkk.hu/en/.
There is a direct bus (No. 1085) departing from Budapest 'Népliget Autobus Station'. Buses depart in approx. every 2 hours, and the travel takes approx. 3 hours. Trains from Budapest to Szarvas depart from the 'Budapest Keleti Pályaudvar' (Eastern Railway Station). First you have to take the train to the town Mezőtúr, which departs every hour, and the travel takes approx. 2 hours. From Mezőtúr there is a train connection to Szarvas every 2 hours and the travel takes approx. 30 minutes. If you are traveling in a group, it might be convenient to take
airport transfer from the airport to the venue.
